We encourage everyone involved with Mount Pleasant church to be involved in ways that serve those whom Jesus served - the poor, sick, outcast, imprisoned, homeless and/or hungry.

We collect canned and dried goods for the local food pantry on a weekly basis.  Items may be placed in the box located in the entryway to the sanctuary on Sunday morning.  These donations are delivered to the CORA Food Pantry in Pittsboro to provide emergency food for families in crisis.  We ask each family to donate one item per month to help the less advantaged.  If you'd like to know more about CORA, follow this link:

Throughout the year we participate in other outreach programs such as the Christmas shoebox campaign for Armenia and disaster relief such as flood/cleaning buckets, health kits, and other post-hurricane assistance through UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief.  Their website can be found under the Links menu or on the homepage of the North Carolina Conference:

If God has given you a heart for those in need, and you are looking for ways to serve, please contact us.
